Sunset Alleycats & The Basic Fives would be collaborating to put up a guest performance presented by Lasalle College of the Arts for an event titled, i-Am The System, Choreographers Ball. A dance show made possible with collaboration between local choreographers and well-known foreign choreographers from Los Angeles – a fusion of Hip-Hop with different essences of genres. XLarge continues to work with Disney for Spring 2010. After releasing Mickey Mouse branded product last season, they bring out for Spring 2010 Donald Duck t-shirts. The tee comes in two colorways and will release in the next couple of weeks. Hit the jump for more pictures.

XLarge and SLICK have come together once again to produce X-Slick since its last collaboration in 2004. More information will be release soon, meanwhile check out the cool collaboration design tees. SLICK is no stranger to the clothing game; for graffiti it was “Third Rail”, for skaters and punks he did “Fuct Clothing”, he brought you the Asian flavor with a street twist with “Shaolin Worldwide”, and he has finally come full circle back to his graff roots with “DISSIZIT!”

EVENTS: CARBON4 Presents CARBONATED (Vol.1.1)

For the year 2010, CARBON4 will debut its first upcoming project. “CARBONATED” is a collaborative effort between us and famed Singaporean artists and local establishments, which will be debuting in the early months of 2010.
The purpose of this project is to create an entire series of streetwear related t-shirts and accessories and to be released on a bi-monthly basis commencing mid of February to till October 2010. All clothing and accessories will be launched at the official venue. Products will be produced on a limited quantity basis of 50 pieces on selected colour ways and be placed on sale at CARBON4, the official venues as well as local establishments.
For this 1st event, we will be presenting CARBONATED Vol.1.1. with live Performance by The Killer Gerbil, INGLORIOUS RASCALS featuring ANTZ & ZERO and DURRTY HUSTLAS featuring DJ Koflow & DJ Rough. So we shall see you gus next Friday.

Shanghai has just gotten a little dose of Boston on Huai Hai Road with New Balance’s new Experience Store. The heritage Bostonian label opened its new retail venture just two days ago, following the success of its first Experience Store in Beijing. The Experience Store aims to synthesize performance and lifestyle and promote a running culture in the Chinese market. Through an offering of the entire extensive New Balance product line– footwear, apparel and accessories for all seasons, ages, genders and walks of life– Shanghai will be able to enjoy the complete New Balance experience both in terms of lifestyle and high performance technology, first hand.
While introducing New Balance’s unparalleled craftsmanship and modern spirit is essential for growing a budding running culture in Shanghai, the label also wants to focus on brand building and recognition. This is achieved through the store design as well, as the ceiling’s paranomic view unfurls the label’s legacy, present and future, chronicling one hundred and four years of New Balance’s history as a beautiful, comprehensive winding display.
Taking a step away from products, the new Experience Store, as its name suggests, is very much about human experience and connection. This year, the store will be holding a “6km Run” in six major cities in china and will be purveying a variety of activities for runners of all levels, taking the sport off a daunting pedestal and bringing them closer to people.
